eden never sells, rents, or leases customer lists to outside parties. eden utilizes your data solely to support its business operations and to offer you the best selection of products and educational materials available. Specifically, eden utilizes your data to: provide and maintain the Services, including displaying personalized content and enabling communication with you and others; handle your requests and orders for products or other related information; interact with you regarding your account; handle account preferences; request feedback from users; promote and manage surveys and promotions sponsored by eden; enhance our understanding of you by connecting your data with additional information through third-party data providers or analyzing the data with assistance from analytics service providers; recognize unique users across different devices; Customize advertisements across platforms; enhance our Services and develop new products, services, and features; monitor trends and traffic, track purchases, and analyze usage patterns; display advertisements for the Services on external websites and applications; comply with legal requirements; or as Eden, in its sole judgment, determines necessary to protect the safety or integrity of its users, employees, third parties, the public, or Eden's Services.

 

eden may share your information with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • eden may share your data with third-party organizations who deliver services on Eden's behalf, such as payment processing, data analysis, marketing and advertising services (including retargeted advertising), email and hosting services, and customer services and support. These service providers may access your personal information but are required to use it solely as directed by us, to provide our requested service.
  • eden may share your information as needed to manage, market, or sponsor promotions and surveys you choose to participate in, as mandated by applicable law (such as providing a winners list or making required filings), or according to the promotion or survey rules.
  • eden may disclose your information to third parties if Eden (in our independent judgment) reasonably believes that the disclosure is: Allowed or required by law; Requested as part of a judicial, governmental, or legal inquiry, order, or proceeding; Reasonably necessary to comply with a valid subpoena, warrant, or other legally-valid request; Reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and other legal agreements; Required to identify, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, misuse, potential violations of law (or rule or regulation), or security or technical issues; or Reasonably necessary in Eden's judgment to protect against imminent harm to the rights, property, or safety of Eden, its users, employees, members of the public, or its Services.
  • If eden undergoes any business transaction including a merger, acquisition, corporate divestiture, or dissolution (including bankruptcy), or a sale of any or all of its assets, we may share, disclose, or transfer all of your information to the successor organization during such transition or in contemplation of a transition (including during due diligence).
  • With your explicit consent, eden may share information with third parties outside the scope of this Privacy Policy.

 

eden implements appropriate security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal data. However, no digital system can be 100% secure, so eden cannot guarantee that communications between you and eden regarding the Services or materials, or any information provided to eden in connection with the data we collect through the Services, will remain free from unauthorized access by third parties. Your password constitutes a crucial component of our security system, and it is your responsibility to protect it. You should never share your password with any third party, and if you believe your password or account has been compromised, you should change it promptly.

 

To stop receiving promotional communications from eden, you may utilize the "unsubscribe" mechanism included in the communication. Please note that regardless of your email preferences, we will continue to send you transactional and relationship messages regarding the Services, including administrative confirmations, order confirmations, important updates about the Services, and notices about our policies. Any additional "opting out" must be completed by you through your internet browser settings.

 

Following termination of your eden account, some or all of your data may remain visible to eden. Even after account termination, we retain your data for as long as eden maintains a legitimate purpose to do so (and in accordance with applicable law), including to assist with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce eden's agreements. We may retain and disclose such data pursuant to this Privacy Policy after your account termination.

 

To submit requests to access, correct, or delete your personal data, please email contact@edendistro.com. Please anticipate up to 30 days for a response. For security purposes, Eden may require that the request be submitted through the email address linked to your account, and eden may need to verify your identity before implementing your request.

 

eden does not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from individuals under twenty-one years of age. If you have not reached the age of twenty-one, you must refrain from using these websites.

 

For California residents: 

You have the right to request specific details regarding what personal information eden shares with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To submit such a request, send an email to contact@edendistro.com with the phrase "California Shine the Light" or "California CCPA Request" and include your mailing address, state of residence, and email address.

 

Furthermore, the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") grants California resident consumers specific rights concerning their personal information. Under the CCPA, you have the following rights:

 

Access to Information and Data Portability You have the right to request that we disclose specific details about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Upon receiving and confirming your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:

  • The categories of personal information we gathered about you.
  • The sources from which we collected your personal information.
  • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information.

  • The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also known as a data portability request).

You maintain the right to request deletion of any personal information we have collected from you and maintained (subject to certain exceptions). Once we receive and verify your consumer request, we will delete (and instruct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies.

 

We may deny your deletion request if maintaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to: fulfill the transaction for which we collected the personal information; provide a good or service that you requested; take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you; detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities; debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality; exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided for by law; comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request by e-mailing contact@edendistro.com. Only you, or an individual registered with the California Secretary of State whom you authorize to act on your behalf, may submit a verifiable consumer request regarding your personal information. You may also submit a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

 

You may submit a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability no more than twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request must: provide sufficient information enabling us to reasonably verify your identity as the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative, and describe your request with adequate detail allowing us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

 

We are unable to respond to your request or provide personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. Submitting a verifiable consumer request does not require creating an account with us. We will use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request solely to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.

 

We strive to respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days of receipt. If additional time is required (up to 90 days), we will inform you in writing of the reason and extension period. For account holders, we will deliver our written response to that account. For non-account holders, we will deliver our written response by mail or electronically. Our disclosures will cover only the 12-month period preceding receipt of the verifiable consumer request. The response will also explain any reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a readily useable format that should facilitate information transmission between entities. We do not charge for processing or responding to verifiable consumer requests unless they are excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine a fee is warranted, we will explain our decision and provide a cost estimate before completing your request.

 

eden's headquarters is located in North Carolina, and to provide the Services, we must transfer your data to and process it in the United States. By using Eden's Services, you consent to storage of your data on United States servers. If accessing the Services from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in and to the United States or other countries. Specifically, personal data collected in Switzerland and the European Economic Area ("EEA") is transferred and stored outside those areas. By submitting your data or using our Services, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing by Eden and its processors and agents.

 

When appropriate, eden may modify this Privacy Policy to clarify its practices or reflect new or different practices. eden reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify and/or revise this Privacy Policy at any time. For material changes, eden will notify you through prominent means such as email notification to your account email address or by posting a notice through its website. Modifications become effective on the posting date unless otherwise specified.

 

Your continued use of our Services following changes indicates your acceptance of those changes. Any revised Privacy Policy supersedes all previous versions. The terms and conditions within Eden's Terms & Conditions are incorporated here by reference.
